The interdisciplinary scientific almanac «Religion. Church. Society» is an annual periodical that publishes original research in the field of Christian theology, religious studies, philosophy and history of religion (rubrics Religious philosophy, Religion and society, History and culture, Source- and text-studying). Review of the current scientific and theological texts, as well as notes about the religious processes and problems of contemporary religious education and studies, are also published (rubrics Critics and bibliography, Chronics).
The almanac is in continuous publication since 2012. Texts are accepted for publication in Russian and European languages (English, German, French, Spanish, etc.).
The project was initiated by the Theological Institute of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ingria (Saint-Petersburg, Russia), but nowadays it involves other educational and scientific organizations. Among them are the Russian Christian Academy (the Multiregional centre of religious and moral education and interreligious cooperation) and the Department of Sociology and Religious Studies of the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A. I. Herzen. Since 2014 the almanac has been supported by Martin Luther Bund (Erlangen, Germany).
